Wine rack - The Cobbler's Pipe
An interesting 8-bottle wooden wine rack with ironwork, made near our Broadway shop. This beautifully individual piece of furniture is crafted from reclaimed pitch pine rescued from a shoemaker's workshop (c1840) in Cowl Street, Evesham, just a few miles from Broadway. One of the cobblers who worked there was Pte William Jones, who fought at the battle of Rourke's Drift and won the VC in 1879.
This rack will hold champagne bottles as well as standard wine bottles. Dimensions: h128 x w18 x d27 cms (excluding bottles but including ironwork). Please note the bottles stick out on two sides, making this rack ideal for a corner spot.
